BOROUGH OF EDGEWORTH

Allegheny County, Pennsylvania

Notice is hereby given that the Edgeworth Zoning Hearing Board (“Board”) will conduct a public hearing on Tuesday July 23rd 2019, beginning at 5:00 p.m. in the Edgeworth Borough Building, 301 Beaver Road, Edgeworth, PA 15143 concerning the following matters:

The Board will consider a request by Mrs. Alyson Korman for the property located at 510 Woodland Road for a variance from Article III, Section 130-7 of Chapter 130 of the Code of the Borough of Edgeworth (“the Code”), as amended, which states that there shall be only one permitted principal use on any lot.  The applicant is also seeking a variance from Article V, Section 130-28 A(4)(a)(1) of the Code concerning the minimum lot size for a private or commercial kennel in the Special Use (SU) Residential Zoning District.  The applicant will also seek a variance from Article V, Section 130-28 A(4)(a)(2) of the Code concerning the minimum distance for the location of animal shelters and runs from the nearest property line in the SU Residential Zoning District.

The Board will consider a request by Dr. Oriente DiTano for the property located at 419 Woodland Road for a variance from Article V, Section 130-21 B(4) of the Code, concerning the maximum impervious surface coverage permitted in the R-1 Residential Zoning District for the purpose of constructing a driveway.

The Board will consider a request by Mr. Brendan Barlament and Ms. Emily Logan for the property located at 421 Oliver Road for a variance from Article V, Section 130-23 C(2) of the Code, concerning the side yard setback in the R-3 Residential Zoning District for the purpose of constructing a two story deck.

The Board will consider a request by Mr. and Mrs. Ryan Birtwell for the property located at 615 Academy Ave for a variance from Article V, Section 130-22 C(5)(a) of the Code, concerning the maximum height for a principal structure in the R-2 Residential Zoning District for the purpose of constructing an addition.  The applicant is also requesting a variance from Article V, Section 130-22 C(2) of the Code concerning the side yard setback of the addition, and a variance from Article V, Section 130-28 G1(e) of the Code concerning minimum distance between a principal and accessory structure.

The Board will consider a request by Mr. and Mrs. James Bulger for the property located at 745 Chestnut Road for a variance from Article VI, Section 130-38 A(1) of the Code concerning the maximum lot coverage in the SU Residential Zoning district for the purpose of constructing an attached garage.
